Can Komšić, Izetbegović and Nikšić find a way out or will the plan of Čović and Dodik be realized

Željko Komšić and Bakir Izetbegović should hold a meeting tonight or tomorrow in Sarajevo to discuss unblocking the process of forming the government in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, writes the Patria news agency.

Whether an agreement will be reached, on which depends Komšić's final decision on whether DF will remain in the federal government or leave it, as the leader of this party announced last night after a meeting with HDZ BiH leader Dragan Čović, largely depends on the talks between Komšić and the first man of the SDP, Nermin Nikšić.

Both are, as Patria learns from DF and SDP, ready to find a solution that would lead to the continuation of the constitution of the executive authority, i.e., the appointment of the Vice President of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina from among the Serbian people.

The most interest in getting out of the stalemate, according to our information, is shown by Izetbegović, who is very keen for Komšić and DF to remain in power and for the signed agreement to be fully implemented.

Čović has passed the ball for solving this problem into the hands of Komšić and Izetbegović, stating that if the Vice President of the FBiH from among the Serbian people is not appointed by Monday or Tuesday, "then let everyone come before the public and say what they did."

If it were to happen that DF leaves the coalition, then the "reserve players" would be SBB or SDP. However, from SBB they said they remain in opposition. SDP has not yet declared itself.

But, as everything is possible in politics, and that often "no" actually means "yes" and "if you ask me nicely," the message from SBB should not be taken as final.

Especially, it should not be forgotten, because of the support that SBB gave to HDZ BiH in the House of Representatives and the House of Peoples of the Parliament of FBiH, and the Parliament of BiH during appointments, which is confirmation that the leaders of these two parties, Fahrudin Radončić and Dragan Čović, are in constant contact and negotiations.

At the same time, Čović is on the "red phone" with the first man of SNSD, Milorad Dodik, who is currently demonstrating for the umpteenth time how to block the government in the state.

In this way, through various behind-the-scenes political games and negotiations, the government at the level of BiH has been blocked, and an attempt is being made to transfer a similar scenario to the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Nevertheless, we should wait for the talks between Komšić and Izetbegović, as well as Komšić and Nikšić, and only then draw conclusions. Until then, all options are open and everything is possible.
