Mogherini: Decision on SAA for BiH in March

EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini said at a press conference that upon returning to Brussels she will recommend that the European Council immediately approve the entry into force of the Stabilisation and Association Agreement (SAA), reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

The European Council will meet in March, and the decision will be known then.

- Adopting a joint statement for the EU was a key step, but now there is even greater responsibility on BiH politicians and institutions to immediately make a reform plan at all levels. Everyone is aware that this is a historic day, but there is no going back. No one can afford that - Mogherini said.

During today's visit, she constantly emphasised that social and economic reforms must begin, and that is what citizens expect.

Mogherini said she wants to focus on making this process succeed, but stressed that success will depend on political will in BiH.
