Power from BiH institutions moved to party headquarters and individuals' hands

(Patria) - The Parliamentary Assembly of BiH is a kind of collateral damage in the mutual outsmarting of future coalition partners regarding the formation of executive power at the state level and in the Federation of BiH, it was announced from the Centers for Civil Initiatives (CCI), which monitor the work of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH. 

CCI reminds that the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH is not working, waiting for an agreement among party leaders, although it has been constituted and could perform its duties without hindrance. 

“This is a consequence of moving power from systemic institutions, with democratic electoral legitimacy, to party headquarters or even into the hands of individuals. Which is an evident defeat for democracy in this country,” CCI believes, reminding that after holding its constitutive session in December 2018, at which it elected its three-member leadership and formed the Commission for the Election of Council of Ministers members, the House of Representatives of the PS BiH has not held any further sessions to date. 

“Sessions were scheduled, but not held,” stated CCI.
