Mo initiates proceedings against BiH Armed Forces members who attended January 9th commemoration

(Patria) - The BiH Ministry of Defence, in accordance with its competences defined by the BiH Defence Law, has already initiated fact-finding proceedings concerning the presence of members of the Ministry of Defence and the Armed Forces of BiH at the commemoration of January 9th - Republika Srpska Day, which the Constitutional Court of BiH ruled to be inconsistent with the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the institution told Patria.

"In accordance with the aforementioned, the BiH Minister of Defence has also ordered the Chief of the Joint Staff of the BiH Armed Forces to take measures and actions within his competence, and to promptly report on the measures taken and actions performed to the BiH Ministry of Defence," the Ministry stated.

Otherwise, in the front rows, behind the Minister of the Serbian Ministry of Internal Affairs Aleksandar Vulin, BiH Presidency member Milorad Dodik, and other officials of the Republika Srpska entity and neighboring Serbia, members of the BiH Armed Forces in uniform attended the ceremonial parade held in Banja Luka on the occasion of the commemoration of the unconstitutional RS Day. Among them were the Deputy Minister of Defence of BiH Mirko Okolić, Deputy Chief of the Joint Staff of the BiH Armed Forces Major General Gojko Knežević, and Commander of the Operational Command of the Armed Forces of BiH Major General Radovan Ilić.

High-ranking officers of the BiH Armed Forces were also present at the ceremonial academy in the Borik hall.

In addition to Knežević and Ilić, the ceremonial parade was also attended by Brigadier Milorad Krajšumović, Commander of the 3rd Infantry Regiment (RS), and Brigadier Zoran Dunović, Deputy Commander of the Support Command of the Armed Forces of BiH for Operations.
