IMF approves additional borrowing of 187.8 million KM

The International Monetary Fund has approved the 7th and 8th tranches for BiH under the fourth stand-by arrangement, totaling 187.8 million KM, said the Minister of Finance of FBiH, Ante Krajina, for the BiH news agency Patria.

- The distribution of these funds is done according to a 2:1 ratio, meaning FBiH receives two-thirds of the funds, around 125 million KM, and RS receives one-third – explains Krajina.

The IMF has also approved additional borrowing in the same amount of 187.8 million KM. These funds have been requested due to floods and the remediation of their consequences.

- Of this amount, Brčko District receives 2%, and FBiH and RS share the remainder at 49% each. This is approximately 92 million KM per entity – says Krajina.

The total amount of funds from the 7th and 8th tranches and the additional borrowing amounts to 375.6 million KM, writes Patria.
