Dairy farmers introduce duty at customs terminals, decision on further steps tomorrow

At four customs terminals (Gradiška, Izačić, Bijača, Orašje) dairy farmers from FBiH and RS are on duty today, while the Gorica customs terminal is without duty, said Mehmed Nikšić, president of the Association of Milk Producers of FBiH for the Bosnian news agency Patria.

Tomorrow there is a meeting of the Management Board of the Association in Gradiška regarding the next steps, as Nikšić said, no one from the authorities has contacted them yet, and on Tuesday there is also a session of the Council of Ministers of BiH after which they will decide on further steps.

- The Management Board will make a decision on how we will act from Wednesday. We gave a chance for a decision to be made, but from Wednesday onwards we will not wait - said Nikšić.

He also said that all importers knew where they were "thinnest" regarding the blockade of customs terminals, so they turned their vehicles around and shipments entered BiH.

We remind you, dairy farmers are demanding the introduction of a levy on milk imports, blue diesel, and export to European markets, writes Patria.
