YOUTH IN SARAJEVO SEND A MESSAGE: I Need Advice

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Youth Council of the Federation of BiH, with the support of the Institute for Youth Development KULT, will hold an info day in Sarajevo on Wednesday, September 2, 2020, as part of the "I Need Advice" initiative. The initiative is aimed at forming a Youth Council of the FBiH, which has been a legal obligation of the FBiH Government since 2010, but has not yet been fulfilled.

The info day will be held on the Square of the Children of Sarajevo (plaza in front of the BBI Center) between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM.

We believe that problems and needs of young people can only be addressed through active cooperation and communication with young people. Precisely for this reason, the Youth Council of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Institute for Youth Development KULT will use this day to provide young people with an opportunity to publicly express their problems, needs, and propose solutions. Young people will be informed about their rights, which are contained in the Law on Youth of the FBiH.

In addition to informing young people about existing legal mechanisms, young people will learn about the role and importance of the Youth Council. This legally recognized mechanism should enable direct participation of young people in decision-making processes at the level of the Federation of BiH.
