(Patria) - A protest march was held today in Sarajevo by young people who have qualified for housing subsidies in Sarajevo Canton.
At 12:00, they gathered in front of Sebilj on Baščaršija and proceeded along Ferhadija and Titova streets towards Trg djece Sarajeva, reports Faktor.ba.

Those gathered demanded that the Canton Sarajevo Government pay them an additional 5,200 KM, but the Prime Minister, Nihad Uk, had repeatedly told them in previous days that there was no money for that item.
Let us recall, the young people had previously received 4,800 KM, and then the Canton Sarajevo Assembly adopted an initiative mandating that they receive an additional 5,200 KM each, so that the total subsidy amount would be 10,000 KM, which was the practice in the previous call for applications.
However, Uk reiterated yesterday that there is no money to pay the subsidies to young people.

- The Canton Sarajevo Assembly adopted a conclusion, and we also have an initiative submitted by the relevant minister Bojan Bošnjak, who proposed to the Canton Sarajevo Government and ministers that a reallocation be made to find certain funds.
At this moment, no relevant ministry has found funds that could be transferred to Minister Bošnjak in order to comply with the initiative of the assembly representatives - said Uk.
