Educate youth for professions that guarantee employment

By signing an agreement between the Federal Employment Institute, USAID and the Swedish Embassy/Sida on the retraining of 400 workers from the Federal Employment Institute, 400 new jobs will be opened in Visoko, Vogošća, Konjic, Olovo and Zavidovići, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria (NAP).

Retraining will be carried out in textile, electrical, chemical and automotive industry professions.

However, as NAP learns, this project also aims to influence the secondary school level of the education system in these cities, in a way that secondary schools in Visoko, Vogošća, Konjic, Olovo and Zavidovići prepare and equip students for professions needed by companies in their environment. This would facilitate employment for young people and ensure quality staff for companies.

This agreement will be signed tomorrow at the premises of the ASA Group in Sarajevo by Nataša Miskin, on behalf of the Swedish Embassy/Sida, Kenan Rešo, director of the FZZ, and David Barth, director of the USAID mission in BiH.
The signing of the agreement will also be attended by municipal mayors, as well as company directors who have expressed a need for new workers.
