Residents of Rostovo near Novi Travnik receive waste collection bills of nearly 400 KM

NOVI TRAVNIK, (Patria) – Around 200 households in Rostovo near Novi Travnik have received high bills for waste collection, although, residents claim, there was no organized waste collection from that location at all.

Containers for organized waste collection in Rostovo were installed in November 2017, and the public utility company Vilenica-Čistoća issued bills to residents for the period from 2014 to the present. The bills amount to nearly 400 KM per household.

Rostovo resident Mirsad Sarajčić told the Patria agency that everyone is surprised, and that they will hold a meeting on Thursday with the director of Vilenica-Čistoća, Svjetlana Tokalić, in an attempt to protect their rights.

“We received bills for a service we did not use,” said Sarajčić, adding that they are also not satisfied with the individual price for waste collection. The price for waste collection in Rostovo is 8 KM per household, while in the town, about 20 kilometers away, the price for the same service is 3.5 KM.
