OSCE Mission in BiH on the occasion of femicide in Ključ: Another reminder that promises are meaningless without urgent action

(Patria) - We are deeply shaken by another case of femicide that occurred yesterday in Ključ. Unfortunately, a weapon was again used to commit the crime, the OSCE Mission in BiH announced.

"We express our sincere and deepest condolences to the victim's family and friends.

We once again call on all levels of government in BiH to take urgent and decisive measures to investigate, prosecute, and prevent such crimes. Prevention must also include the immediate confiscation of illegally possessed weapons. This tragedy is another strong reminder that promises and commitments are meaningless without urgent and effective action," the OSCE stated.

We remind you that a woman was killed last night in a family home in Ključ, confirmed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Una-Sana Canton.

"The perpetrator, identified by initials K.M. (born 1961), used a firearm to kill his wife, identified by initials K.D. (born 1962). The perpetrator of this criminal offense has been arrested and is under the control of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Una-Sana Canton," said the spokesperson for the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Una-Sana Canton, Abdulah Keranović.
