Mirza and His Dog Sila Are Best Friends

Mirza Avdić from Zenica decided he would never get a dog after a husky ate everything in his house, but one day in the park he saw a Belgian Shepherd only a few months old whose owner said it was for sale, and then he forgot his earlier decision, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria.

He says he didn't even think twice, he bought it immediately. He named her Sila.

- From the start I noticed she was special. She listens to everything, she's very smart, and we simply understand each other – Avdić tells NAP, adding that even though Sila sometimes stays alone in the house for a few hours, everything is fine.

- None of the neighbors complain, and all the furniture is intact.

Sila is a Belgian Shepherd or Malinois, one of four types of Belgian Shepherds. This breed is very intelligent, strong, resilient, accustomed to living outdoors, and is most often used as a guard dog.

For centuries, the dog has been considered man's best friend. And Mirza and Sila are a true example of that. At home, as Mirza tells us, there is no need for talking because they communicate with looks and she listens to everything.

Having a dog is a big responsibility

The tricks Sila manages to perform are incredible. They often play with a frisbee and a ball, and she almost always manages to catch her target.

- A dog needs to be walked, cleaned, fed, and all of that is not easy. When I'm lazy, when I don't feel like leaving the house at all, I remember that I need to walk her. And so suddenly I find myself somewhere on a mountain, in a park, by the river, and I feel great - Avdić concluded.
