Mirza Bašić entered the final of the strong ATP Challenger in Brescia (Italy) with a 2-0 victory (6:4 7:6) over German Dustin Brown. He thus achieved a career-high ranking of 134th, writes NAP.
His opponent was Igor Sijsling, a Dutchman. Sijsling is 28 years old, four years older than Mirza, and before this tournament, he was ranked exactly 20 places lower than our tennis player, at 167th place.
Sijsling eventually won the final between these two players with 6:4 6:4 in sets.
