Mirsad Hadžikadić candidate for the BiH Presidency from the Statehood Coalition

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - A new coalition on the political scene  was presented today in Sarajevo - under the name Statehood Coalition. The coalition consists of the Platform for Progress party, Independent Bloc, Posavina Party, Walter Movement, Red Movement, and a group of independent federal deputies and councillors.

As stated by the president of the Independent Bloc, Senad Šepić, the Statehood Coalition aims to gather all healthy forces, aware that we must work and lobby for our BiH.

"We have an agreement on a clear vision, we will have a joint appearance, joint lists, and we will do everything to show that politics can be different and inclusive. We have an agreement on at least one joint candidate for the BiH Presidency, and that is Mirsad Hadžikadić. We are convinced that he can gain the broadest support," said Šepić. 

He added that intensive discussions are underway with other parties to join the Statehood Coalition. 

The president of the Posavina Party, Ninoslav Sušilović, said that BiH needs changes in every segment of our society. 

"Changes are needed in all segments, up to the structure. To make changes, decisive people are needed. For the country to be a country, people with professional and moral capacities are needed. This country has long lacked statesmen, at least not in power. This country has been ruled for a very long time by three criminal interest organizations led by technocrats who are interested in only two things: power and money, there is nothing else," said Sušilović. 

The reason why the Posavina Party joined the Statehood Coalition is that they recognized the interest of people and the desire to create a better, fairer, and more honest society.

"Societies without discrimination, societies of equal opportunities for everyone, regardless of their name, what they believe in, or where they live in the country," said Sušilović, adding that they supported the principles for amendments to the BiH Constitution initiated by VKBI, SGV, HNV, and the Forum of Parliamentarians 1990.
