Peaceful gathering in Sarajevo: All victims are the same!

A peaceful gathering of several hundred people was held in front of the monument to the murdered children of Sarajevo, expressing support for the students of Islamic faith who were killed a few days ago in North Carolina.

The organizers of the gathering prepared a performance to highlight the unfair treatment that Muslims face in public and the media.

- A few days ago, three young people were murdered. They were killed simply because someone else thought they shouldn't live. Before them, thousands and millions of others were killed, for the same reason. Or rather, for no reason at all. Not so long ago, the blood of innocent people flowed on the streets of our cities. Despite this terrible fact, we notice another one, which is that victims are differentiated by individuals and some media outlets. So we see the whole world buzzing about a few people killed in one place, while the murder of thousands of others on the same day goes unnoticed. For God's sake, aren't all victims the same? – ask the organizers of this gathering.

The organizers of the event "EVERY HUMAN LIFE IS EQUALLY IMPORTANT" are the Bosniak non-governmental organizations Association for Culture, Sport and Youth and the association Svitanje from Sarajevo.
