Peaceful walk for Gaza in Sarajevo: 'You cannot burn the truth'

(Patria) - Brutal murders, hunger and suffering of the people in the Gaza Strip are daily scenes unfolding before the eyes of the whole world.

Sarajevo has decided it will not be a silent observer after all. A group of citizens organized a peaceful protest walk today from Baščaršija to the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

The walk was held in solidarity with the people of Gaza and all that innocent civilians experience daily.

"You cannot burn the truth," said the participants of the walk, who also carried photographs of murdered Palestinians.

A performance was also held where they carried two white cloths wrapped and colored red, symbolizing the spilled blood of the Palestinian people.

The organizers stated that the peaceful walk is a call for responsibility, humanity, and consistency from Sarajevo as a city that must resist any justification of war crimes and genocide.
