PEACEFUL (IM)POSSIBLE DISSOLUTION: Sarajevo is busy pleasing Čović, while Dodik continues with separatism

Member of the BiH Presidency Milorad Dodik said at yesterday's press conference that he is continuing with the policy of returning competencies to the level of Republika Srpska.

Despite the new sanctions imposed by the United States on Dodik, and despite speculation about sanctions from European Union member states and the United Kingdom, Dodik is continuing his policy.

In practical terms, this means that Dodik, through the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, will suspend the jurisdiction of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the territory of the entity of Republika Srpska in the coming months.

The seizure of this, as well as other competencies, cannot pass without armed conflict in Bosnia and Herzegovina, because in that case, the pro-Bosnian part of the government, using the legal institutions of the state, must prevent an attack on the Armed Forces of BiH.

Because this is undoubtedly anti-Dayton activity, and the OHR must react, as the High Representative Christian Schmidt himself recently stated.

However, Dodik's announcement yesterday of the continuation of seizing competencies from the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina remained in the shadow of the insults Dodik directed at international officials, as well as in the shadow of a kind of political sedative that Dodik gave to the naive pro-Bosnian public about the supposed return to institutions.

Only politically naive individuals can believe in the good intentions of Aleksandar Vučić and his pleas for Dodik and SNSD to return to the institutions of BiH. 

It is dangerous to believe that the enraged Dodik will work in the institutions of BiH for the benefit of the state of BiH, and for its territorial and sovereign integrity.

Dodik will return to the institutions, temporarily, but only to the extent that he helps the new offensive related to the amendments to the Election Law of BiH, which he himself announced yesterday, stating that he will support the agreement between "Bosniaks and Croats".

In recent days, Patria has written precisely about how the new round of negotiations on amendments to the Election Law of BiH is nothing more than buying time for Dodik's secessionism, and this was also warned about regarding the activities of the Head of the EU Delegation in BiH, Johan Sattler, who is trying his best to bring the issue of the Election Law back to the table, while at the same time remaining silent about the agreements of his superior, Oliver Várhelyi, with Milorad Dodik on holding special sessions of the NSRS where unconstitutional conclusions are made that push this country into conflict.

We also saw yesterday that both Serbia and Croatia are under Russian influence, and that they are bound by an unbreakable bond and help each other can be read from the statements of the Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, who, after meeting with Croatian Minister Gordan Grlić Radman, emphasized that Russia sees obvious discrimination against Croats in Bosnia and Herzegovina and insists on respecting the Dayton Agreement and implementing electoral reform.

"We also see obvious discrimination against Bosnian-Herzegovinian Croats, about which the Croatian minister spoke," Lavrov said in Moscow.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the BiH Presidency, Željko Komšić, was in the Vatican, where it was clearly stated that every citizen must be respected, more precisely, the legal and social equality of all citizens belonging to each of the constituent peoples.

Therefore, the processes of dissolution and amendments to the Election Law are connected processes, and the state of BiH loses the most in them. Russian support for reforms clearly indicates this.

However, perhaps there will be no conflict, because in such circumstances, a peaceful dissolution of the state is quite possible. Dodik knows this, so while he continues to seize the competencies of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and announces that he will not stop doing so, he shifts the focus of political discussion to the amendments to the Election Law of BiH.

Dodik has found a way to peacefully dissolve Bosnia and Herzegovina. He can peacefully engage in secession while Sarajevo is busy pleasing Dragan Čović. As we have said before, Russia is satisfied and the fascists are all accounted for.
