Miraščić: At the request of the Government, 79 organisations and institutions submitted reports on public procurement

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - After more than an hour-long break, the tenth emergency session of the House of Representatives of the FBiH continued.

Authorised by the Prime Minister of the FBiH, Goran Miraščić from the Office of the FBiH Government presented information on the work of the FBiH Government during the pandemic and public procurement to the representatives.

As he said, the FBiH Government adopted more than 50 measures during the pandemic. He recalled the conclusions from the session of the FBiH Government of March 16, orders sent to lower levels of government, and the order requiring headquarters to procure necessary equipment and resources. 

“It was decided to urgently initiate amendments to the Law on Public Procurement. Conclusions were also adopted giving recommendations to employers, a set of conclusions related to bankers was adopted to prevent adverse consequences, as well as decisions on prices and margins for basic items. Consent was given to the Federal Headquarters to allocate 2 million KM for the procurement of necessary resources,” adds Miraščić. 

He adds that the Federal Administration for Civil Protection was given 7.1 million KM. 

“At 164 emergency sessions, a decision was made to amend the decision on allocating funds to the FUCZ from a special account, which is a sub-account in the treasury, in the amount of 4.5 million KM. Funds of 4.9 million KM were allocated from the budget for the FUCZ. On the same day, consent was also given to the Federal Headquarters for Civil Protection for the procurement of resources. The Government tasked all federal institutions to submit all materials on conducted procurements and the criteria based on which bidders were selected, with a deadline of May 8. Among the 79 institutions and organisations was the report of the FUCZ, which was returned for revision on May 12, and at the session of May 12, the director of the FUCZ, Fahrudin Solak, was suspended. At the continuation of the session, the reports of administrative bodies and institutions were noted, as well as the revised report of the FUCZ. Support was given to investigative bodies and the termination of the contract with Srebrena malina was considered.” Miraščić emphasised. 

Miraščić also informed the parliamentarians about the activities undertaken to prevent the economic consequences of the pandemic.
