Ministers ordered to determine who hired without government consent

The Sarajevo Canton Government today ordered line ministers to each initiate procedures within their respective departments to determine the responsibility of individuals who carried out new permanent employments during the validity period of the Decision on Temporary Financing of the Needs of Sarajevo Canton from January 1 to March 31, 2015, without the government's consent, reports the Patria news agency. 

This applies to individuals who acted contrary to the government's conclusions of December 16, 2014, which defined that all announced public competitions for hiring employees in all public services in the Sarajevo Canton should be annulled, except those that had the approval of the Sarajevo Canton Government and whose procedure had already begun.

In addition, from the day of adopting this conclusion, new employment in all public services, all appointments of management structures in public services, as well as the suspension of new or amendments to existing rulebooks on job systematization in all institutions, establishments, and companies in the Sarajevo Canton were prohibited. The conclusion was valid until the appointment of the new government on March 23, 2015.

The conclusion of the current Sarajevo Canton Government of May 28, 2015, also specified a ban on new employment in all cantonal administrative bodies, administrations and organizations within and outside ministries, public institutions and funds, and all public enterprises without the government's consent, valid until December 31, 2015, and appropriate measures will be taken against those responsible who violated these provisions, the Sarajevo Canton Government announced.
