Minister Mesihović and Ibrahim Obhođaš remain in one-month detention, Viteškić can return to work

(Patria) - The Municipal Court in Sarajevo has ordered one-month detention for the Minister of Higher Education of KS Adna Mesihović and Ibrahim Obhođaš, arrested as part of the "Koverta" operation, while Dženita Viteškić was issued a measure prohibiting her from meeting with witnesses.

Mesihović is suspected of abuse of office or authority under Article 383 Paragraph 1 in conjunction with Article 31 of the Criminal Code of FBiH, and Obhođaš of the criminal offense of receiving a reward or other form of benefit for trading in influence under Article 382 Paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code of FBiH.

He mediated in the appointment of the Director of the Public Institution Student Center.

For Viteškić, a measure prohibiting her from meeting and contacting witnesses and prohibiting her from meeting and contacting other persons has been imposed, and she is also suspected of abuse of office or authority.

The proposal of the KS Prosecutor's Office to impose a measure prohibiting the performance of duties as an assistant minister was rejected.

We remind you that in the Koverta operation, Mesihović and Viteškić were arrested first, while Obhođaš was deprived of his liberty on Friday after returning to Bosnia and Herzegovina at Sarajevo International Airport.

All three are members of the movement For New Generations, founded by Damir Marjanović, a representative in the KS Assembly.

ZNG has two ministers in the KS Government; besides Mesihović, Afan Kalamujić heads the Ministry of Finance.
