Minister Duraković congratulates on the start of the new school year

(Patria) - Federal Minister of Education and Science Jasna Duraković, on her own behalf and on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Education and Science, congratulated all teachers and students on the start of the new school year.

- On behalf of the Federal Ministry of Education and Science, I wish to warmly welcome all teachers and students at the beginning of this new school year – said Minister Duraković.
In a statement provided by the Federal Ministry of Education and Science, Minister Duraković emphasizes that this ministry will continue to provide its strong support and contribute to the development of preschool, primary, secondary, and higher education, and that this year's emphasis is on cooperation with cantonal ministries of education, in order to ensure full support in all segments of the educational system in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

- We proudly state that within the past three months, we have actively cooperated with cantonal
ministries to ensure support in the development of the educational system.

With particular enthusiasm, we announce the promised provision of financial resources for the procurement of textbooks for primary school students from the first to the fifth grade. This will be realized through the budget rebalance, in addition to existing projects and initiatives.

We also emphasize the continuation of work on the Plan for the Prevention and Suppression of Violence in Educational Institutions of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. A Core Team has been formed, which is actively engaged in preparations and brings together experts from various sectors. We commend the commitment of prof. Vedran Zubić, whom we engaged as an external expert and who is already contributing concrete solutions.

We are pleased that we have already set clear goals and defined steps for the Interdepartmental Team, whose framework has been approved by the FBiH Government, but at the same time, we call on the remaining ministries that have not yet been active to join our joint efforts. Only through joint work can we create a "Framework Plan for the Prevention and Suppression of Violence in Educational Institutions in the FBiH".

In our holistic approach, we invite experienced professionals to support this common goal with their contributions. In addition, we plan to support teachers in the application of interactive teaching methods and organize events for students. For the first time in history, we want to hear the voices of students, teachers, and parents about the problems and desires in education, and we are planning new projects within the FMON aimed at suppressing violence in the school environment.

Exciting educational reforms are ahead, and with a serious approach and joint support, we can achieve a safe and inclusive educational environment in the FBiH. We thank everyone who has contributed to the activities of the Federal Ministry of Education and Science.
