ZNG ministers have demands forUKA

(Patria) - The Movement For New Generations announced that their candidates for ministers in the Sarajevo Canton Government, Prof. Dr. Sc. Adna Mesihović and Dr. Sc. Afan Kalamujić, will submit to the designate prime minister Nihad Uk by the end of the week a detailed list of activities they plan to implement in the coming period, and will insist that these be included in Uk's exposé.

ZNG demands the adoption of the Regulation on uniform criteria and rules for the employment of holders of golden badges and top students in institutions in Sarajevo Canton, the City of Sarajevo, and municipalities in Sarajevo Canton, the establishment of the Science Foundation of Sarajevo Canton in 2024 and solving the problem of financing scientific research work, introducing the practice of regular adoption of the Program for Youth of Sarajevo Canton and forming the Youth Council of Sarajevo Canton, which will supervise and monitor the implementation of the Program for Youth of Sarajevo Canton.

When it comes to economic topics, they demand that the goals and methods of managing the debt of Sarajevo Canton be revised, further review and reforms of parafiscal charges, and that this be urgently initiated in order to relieve the economy, focus on capital projects in order to preempt the decline in economic activity through the investment cycle, which we expect due to the recession in key trading partner countries.

"The set of all the aforementioned, as well as all other measures that our ministers will work on in the future, arises from the pre-election program of the Movement For New Generations, which was supported by our voters. The decision to propose Prof. Dr. Sc. Adna Mesihović and Dr. Sc. Afan Kalamujić for key ministerial positions stems from our clear intention to appoint professional, educated, and responsible individuals to these positions who have proven their worth through their past successes in the business and educational fields. Both are, without a doubt, competent for these responsible roles, and we are convinced that their dedication and expertise will bring significant benefits to the Cantonal Government and our citizens," stated Damir Marjanović, a Member of the Sarajevo Canton Assembly and one of the movement's coordinators.

Mesihović is a candidate for the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Youth, and Kalamujić for the Ministry of Finance.

The new parliamentary majority has 21 deputies, and ZNG managed to secure two ministries in negotiations despite having only one deputy. Independent deputy Redžo Lemezan also supported these candidates.

Part of the new parliamentary majority are Admela Hodžić and Elza Gaković, who left the Party of Democratic Action. They did not have demands for ministries, but for some other positions in the public sector.
