Ministry of Health and Institute of Public Health KS procure 8,000 antigen tests

(Patria) - The Ministry of Health of Sarajevo Canton and the Institute of Public Health KS have procured 8,000 antigen tests for testing.

They will be available to citizens during the day at all JU Health Centers KS locations, so they can be tested, in accordance with the recommendations for testing issued by the Crisis Staff of the Ministry of Health KS.

In the coming days, the KS Health Insurance Fund, in cooperation with the UNDP, is also planning to procure an additional number of these tests.

The Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo has a capacity to process 1,000 samples per day for PCR testing, which in previous days, due to the increased number of samples taken, caused a backlog in this process, resulting in citizens waiting longer for the results of these tests.

Also, the KS Institute of Public Health and the General Hospital "Prim. Dr. Abdulah Nakaš" will soon begin testing in their institutions as well.

The Ministry of Health KS hopes that in this way it will find the best solution in the process of testing the citizens of Sarajevo Canton. They also announce that they will continue to act promptly to eliminate all other identified problems that our citizens are facing, so that they can access healthcare services without hindrance.
