Ministry of Human Rights and Refugees: Jurišić Expresses Solely Personal Opinion, Krišto Rejected Hurtić's Proposal for Council of Ministers

(Patria) - Dr. of Political Science Slaven Kovačević was a guest on Hayat TV last night, commenting on
the European Court of Human Rights panel's acceptance to have the Grand Chamber review the ruling in the case of "Kovačević v. Bosnia and Herzegovina," mentioning that he received information that "self-proclaimed agents had a conversation with the Deputy Minister of Human Rights and that she gave them full support."

Following this, for the full and objective informing of the public, the Ministry of Human Rights and Refugees
of BiH states the following:

“Media statements, press releases, or any other forms of public notification on behalf of the Ministry are prohibited for all employees of the Ministry of Human Rights and Refugees of BiH, which includes Deputy Minister Duška Jurišić. Everything Deputy Minister Jurišić states are solely her personal opinions, and the Ministry strictly distances itself from them.

Any other statement regarding the legality of the work of agents in the Office of the Agent of the Council of Ministers for representation before the European Court of Human Rights has been expressed through information that has been repeatedly sent to the Council of Ministers for consideration, but has never reached the agenda of a session. The last one was sent last week with a proposal to appoint acting agents until these positions are filled through a public tender procedure, in order to overcome this situation. However, the Chairperson of the Council of Ministers did not include this material on yesterday's session of the Council of Ministers, and the Ministry has no confirmation that it will be on the next session either,” the Ministry announced.
