Ministry of Security of BiH forwards request for army and helicopter assistance in flooded areas

(Patria) - The Ministry of Security of BiH received a request from the Federal Civil Protection Administration this morning via the Operational-Communication Centre 112 BiH for additional assistance in rescue teams and mechanization.

This request was immediately forwarded to the Ministry of Defence of BiH, requesting the engagement of helicopters, mechanization, and additional personnel. A request was also sent to EUFOR for the engagement of helicopters for medical evacuation. A severely injured child from Jablanica is being urgently transported by an EUFOR helicopter.

Staff of the Operational-Communication Centre 112 BiH have been working at full capacity since receiving the first information about the floods and are in constant communication with the Civil Protection of FBiH, the Ministry of Defence of BiH, and international partners.

The Ministry of Security of BiH continues to monitor the situation on the ground and will continue to coordinate assistance to the most endangered areas.
