No Council of Ministers Decision: BiH Ministry of Security Redirects Traffic to New Gradiška Border Crossing

(Patria) - The BiH Ministry of Security today issued a decision allowing the redirection of traffic to the new Gradiška Border Crossing (GP), after damage occurred to the protective fence and pedestrian path on the bridge leading to the current Gradiška GP.

The Decision states that the new bridge location will be used during the traffic suspension at the existing Gradiška crossing.

"The BiH Ministry of Security issued a decision last year to designate a temporary border crossing, but its implementation was postponed until an official notification was received from the BiH Indirect Taxation Authority that the legal and organizational conditions for the customs service to operate at that crossing were met," the Decision stated.

We remind you that the Management Board of the BiH ITA did not support the decision to open the new Gradiška GP today due to a lack of consensus.

Members from the smaller BiH entity refuse to support a decision that would settle the debt of Republika Srpska towards the Federation of BiH based on VAT, amounting to over 150 million KM.
