FBiH Ministry of Labour: Workers have the right to paid leave on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr

(Patria) - The Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Policy, on the occasion of the upcoming Eid al-Fitr, informed workers and employers in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina about the right to use paid leave in accordance with the Labour Law.

- Article 54, paragraph 3 of the Labour Law stipulates that the employer is obliged to allow the worker absence of up to four working days in a calendar year to satisfy their religious or traditional needs, of which two days are used with wage compensation, as paid leave - the Ministry's statement reads.

The Ministry clarifies that this right is exercised during periods when, in accordance with religious regulations, customs, and tradition, religious holidays and other cultural-traditional events are celebrated.

- In this regard, workers have the right to use paid leave on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr in accordance with the Law - the Ministry's statement said.

The Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Policy takes this opportunity to congratulate all Muslim believers on Eid al-Fitr, wishing them to spend the holiday days in peace, health, and family unity, it was announced from this ministry.
