Ministry of Education of Republika Srpska bans teachers and professors from participating in projects at the BiH level

(Patria) - The Ministry of Education and Culture of Republika Srpska has sent a letter to preschool institutions, primary and secondary schools in Republika Srpska stating that this ministry and the Republic Pedagogical Institute have determined that representatives of preschool institutions, primary and secondary schools participate in various projects, commissions, councils, and other working bodies at the BiH level.

Educational institutions are required to submit information to the Ministry by August 15, 2023, on whether their employees are involved in projects, i.e., whether they participate in working groups for drafting various documents at the BiH level, such as regulations, guidelines, programs, analyses, records, and others.

"Based on the above, it is necessary to inform all employees in your institutions about the aforementioned so that you can submit the requested information to the Ministry in a timely manner, including the exact name of participation in working groups, programs, projects, and the like," states the letter signed by Minister Željka Stojičić.

In response to why such data is needed, the Ministry of Education of RS told Al Jazeera that all schools must have permission from the Ministry for the projects and programs they implement.

“In order to implement only those projects that are in line with the strategic document in the field of education of Republika Srpska.”

Professor Miodrag Živanović believes that education has also become an integral part of building entirely morbid relations, especially in an area that is very important for our future.

"The authorities' moves were aimed at two things: first, the legalization of dictatorship in society, and second, the restoration of fascism. It is not that the state of BiH is more destroyed, but rather that a unique Bosnian consciousness no longer exists," Živanović told Al Jazeera.
