KS Ministry of Economy Supports Continuation of Bačići Street Construction with 700,000 KM

(Patria) - Minister of Economy of Sarajevo Canton Zlatko Mijatović today signed an Agreement on co-financing the reconstruction, i.e., continuation of the construction of Bačići Street, with the Mayor of Novi Grad Municipality Semir Efendić.

The Ministry of Economy of Sarajevo Canton will co-finance this infrastructure development project in the business zone with 700,000 KM.

Novi Grad Municipality, in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy of Sarajevo Canton, has so far built 270 meters of a two-lane road with a pedestrian sidewalk in Bačići Street. The project covered by today's agreement plans for the reconstruction of an additional 534 meters of roadway, construction of sidewalks and lighting, as well as drainage.

This investment in the improvement of business zones is one of many in this municipality. Since 2016, Sarajevo Canton has allocated funds totaling approximately 2.3 million KM for infrastructure development projects in business zones within the municipality of Novi Grad.

"Our vision is clear, we want to make it easier for every individual doing business in Sarajevo Canton and create an environment where entrepreneurs can operate without difficulties. I believe this project will be implemented efficiently and as soon as possible,” stated Minister Mijatović.
