Ministry of Defence of BiH announces call for 400 candidates for professional military service in the rank of soldier in the Armed Forces of BiH

(Patria) - The Ministry of Defence of Bosnia and Herzegovina announced today, 27 March 2024, a Public Call for
the admission of candidates into professional military service in the initial rank of soldier in the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The deadline for applying to the Public Call is 21 days from the date of publication on the official website of the Ministry of Defence of BiH.

Young men and women who have completed secondary school of III and IV degree or are currently attending the final year of secondary school may apply. Some of the general conditions that candidates must meet are that they are citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, that they are not younger than 18 nor older than 27 years of age at the time of admission.

By applying to the call, young people have the opportunity to secure a stable and safe job, a professional career, and the possibility of advancement in the Armed Forces of BiH.

Necessary information and application forms will be available for download on the official website of the Ministry of Defence of BiH (www.mod.gov.ba) or can be obtained in person from recruitment and transition centres, and candidates can inquire via the following phone numbers:

If candidates meet the general and special conditions and submit the required documentation, they will be timely informed about the time and place of testing and checks, the start of basic military training, and other important information.

Candidate testing will be conducted at recruitment centres in Sarajevo, Banja Luka, Čapljina and Tuzla. After the testing is completed, the Selection Committee will conduct interviews with the most successful candidates and, after the interview, make a selection and propose to the Minister of Defence of BiH candidates for referral to basic military training.

Candidates who successfully complete basic military training are admitted to military service in the initial rank of soldier for formation positions filled by candidates from all three constituent peoples in BiH, as well as from the group of others.
