(Patria) - The Ministry of Culture and Sports of KS issued a statement on Tuesday evening demanding accountability for the promotion of a film about Chetniks.
"Today, within the business platform of the SARAJEVO FILM FESTIVAL - CineLink Industry Days, co-financed by the European Union's 'Creative Europe' program, the Chetnik nationalist-chauvinistic movement was promoted through the film “Heroji Halijarda”.
Contrary to European, civilizational, and common-sense values, and certainly to those on which this festival was created and maintained. The citizens of Sarajevo and the Ministry of Culture and Sports of KS demand and expect transparency in defining responsibility for the oversight in this process, a more adequate explanation than being caught off guard, as well as a plan to remedy the consequences caused by this oversight.
Sarajevo is, as numerous visitors say these days, a city open to art and people. And it is. We are not open to business discussions about films that promote Chetnik movements and Chetnik leaders," stated the Ministry of Culture and Sports of KS, headed by Kenan Magoda.
