Minister Vranić: Digital platform 'eCoVID Vaccine' operational from tomorrow

The digital platform "eCoVID.Vakcina" was presented today to the Minister of Health of Sarajevo Canton, Prof. Dr. Haris Vranić, at the premises of the KS Health Insurance Fund. As announced by the director of this institution, Sakib Katana, this platform should be operational as early as tomorrow.

The presentation was attended by the director of the Public Health Institute, Aida Pilav, and an epidemiologist from the Health Center.

A representative of the company "MEDIT", which developed this platform, informed those present about all the capabilities of the digital platform "eCoVID.Vakcina", which will track all administrative and medical data related to vaccination planning, vaccination and revaccination, as well as all accompanying records, including potential symptoms after vaccination.

According to him, it is very important to define the vaccination process itself, which, among other things, includes logistical support for vaccines, the number of clinics where vaccination will be performed, as well as defining the method of revaccination.

It was emphasized that this is not an administrative but a health process, which must be treated as such, and that every vaccination will be entered into the patient's record, as well as any contraindications.

These are, as stated during the presentation, proposals based on which e-referrals will be created and forwarded to health centers, specifically to family medicine teams.

For a long time, the Health Insurance Fund has had detailed databases, as well as a vaccination plan by categories. The "eCoVID clinic" has been developed and is functional, where a person suspected of having coronavirus is automatically registered via their Viber account, and in the same way, receives the time and location of the Health Center where their swab will be taken.

During vaccination, each person will be required to show their health insurance card or ID card. It was also emphasized that each vaccinated person will receive a link with a unique QR code via Viber, a so-called Covid pass, which will enable online access to the Health Insurance Fund database and thus prove that they have been vaccinated.

"I am very satisfied with the way this platform has been developed, and I am particularly pleased that it will be operational from tomorrow. It is an adaptive, agile, and very important application that will contribute to the even better development of the electronic health information system. Sarajevo Canton is and should be a leader in all processes," the minister stated.

It was announced that a presentation of e-sick leave, which already exists but is unfortunately used by few doctors, according to director Katana, will also be held soon.
