Minister in RS Government Confirms: Child of First Coronavirus Patient Tests Positive

(Patria) - Minister of Health and Social Welfare of the Republika Srpska entity, Alen Šeranić, confirmed at today's press conference the first case of coronavirus in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and also stated that the child of the infected person has contracted the virus.

"The child from this family is also positive," said Šeranić, as reported by N1.

The child attends the Branko Ćopić school in Banja Luka, after which measures were established for the school itself.

"It is important to note that experts are involved in the entire process, so the implementation of the measures is underway," emphasized Šeranić.

All measures are now being taken to find those who are potentially infected, as well as the contacts of the infected individuals.

Testing of the contacts themselves has shown that the wife is negative, as are the other contacts, and that the child is feeling well and has no symptoms.
