Minister Sirovica Hosted Reception for Representatives of the BiH Sitting Volleyball Team

(Patria) - A working meeting was held today at the premises of the Ministry for Veterans' Affairs of Zenica-Doboj Canton with representatives of the BiH sitting volleyball team and the Zenica-Doboj Canton Sitting Volleyball Association.

The meeting summarized the results of the previous year, as well as plans for the next period regarding disability sports.

- This is a continuation of the continuous care for disability sports in Zenica-Doboj Canton. In addition to the regular activities of disability sports associations and clubs, this ministry also co-finances special activities, such as organizing domestic and international tournaments and events.

This year, we have increased funds for disability sports in the canton, which clearly shows the government's commitment to this group of the veteran population.

Our goal is for people with disabilities to more easily overcome daily challenges through sports activities and contribute to themselves, as well as to the community as a whole, through a healthy lifestyle - said the Minister for Veterans' Affairs of Zenica-Doboj Canton, Adnan Sirovica.

He congratulated the national team members on their achievements, expressing gratitude for representing BiH in the best light on the world stage, and stated that the support of the Ministry for Veterans' Affairs will not be lacking.

The BiH sitting volleyball team, the current European champion, world vice-champion, and winner of the silver medal at the last Paralympic Games, includes five players from Zenica-Doboj Canton.
