Minister Sirovica: Support for sitting volleyball clubs remains a priority

(Patria) - The Ministry for Veterans' Affairs of the Zenica-Doboj Canton (ZDC) held a working meeting today with representatives of the ZDC Sitting Volleyball Association, led by President Elvir Arnautović.

Minister Adnan Sirovica informed those present about the continuous support that the Ministry provides to the work of the ZDC Sitting Volleyball Association, emphasizing that funds in the budget line allocated to sports and sports clubs have been increased year after year.

As he pointed out, this approach clearly demonstrates the Ministry's commitment to recognizing the importance of sports in the process of rehabilitation and social inclusion of persons with disabilities, as well as its readiness to provide concrete support to the work of the association and clubs.

In this context, he highlighted that the support is further rounded off by the allocation of financial resources for the procurement of sports equipment in the amount of 3,000 KM per club, with the aim of improving training and working conditions for all clubs operating within the Association.



Representatives of the ZDC Sitting Volleyball Association presented the challenges they face in their daily work, especially regarding the financing and organization of competitions.

They thanked Minister Sirovica and the Ministry for Veterans' Affairs of ZDC for their support so far, which represents an important pillar in the preservation and development of sitting volleyball in ZDC.

During the continuation of the meeting, representatives of the Association presented planned activities for the next year, with a special emphasis on the World Sitting Volleyball Championship, which will be held in China.

As was pointed out, participation in this major international competition requires significant financial resources, both for the preparation of the national team and for the stay at the championship itself.

At the end of the meeting, Minister Sirovica emphasized that the Ministry for Veterans' Affairs of ZDC will continue to provide support to the Association and clubs in the coming period, especially in the segment of financing sports collectives and organizing competitions that yield the best results in the rehabilitation of disabled athletes and the promotion of sports as a means of social integration.
