Minister Nešić expresses condolences to family of murdered police officer Ozren Maran

(Patria) - Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina Nenad Nešić sent condolences to the family of police officer Ozren Maran, killed in last night's terrorist attack at the police station in Bosanska Krupa.

“We sincerely sympathize with you over this great loss. We share the pain and stand by you in these sad and difficult moments. Police officer Ozren Maran lost his life while honorably and professionally performing the noble duty of protecting all citizens. He was killed by a terrorist, whose motive is intolerance and hatred towards everything that is normal and that represents democratic and civilizational values. Therefore, we must defeat the terrorists who, through attacks in Bosanska Krupa, and earlier on other police stations, want to destroy the security system and thus create space for spreading their radical and uncivilized ideologies,” the telegram states.

Also, Minister Nešić sent wishes for a quick and successful recovery to the injured police officer Avdo Hasanović.

Minister Nešić emphasized that he expects a swift and thorough investigation to be conducted, and that any instigators of this crime and attack on the state and security system be discovered and adequately punished for their deeds.

Minister Nešić expressed readiness for any kind of assistance to police and judicial institutions in the investigation and joint fight against terrorism.
