Minister of MUP of TK Husein Topčagić at the opening of convict Sedinet Karić's restaurant

Minister of Internal Affairs of Tuzla Canton Husein Topčagić (SDA) was a guest at the opening of the restaurant „Zlatnik“ in Lukavac last week, although Federal Television wrote back in 2014 that the owner of the Zlatnik restaurant chain, Sedinet Karić, is currently sentenced to one year in prison for giving bribes to the former director of the Indirect Taxation Authority, Kemal Čaušević, reports Patria agency.

In addition to Minister Topčagić, the opening ceremony, at least according to the photos, also included the President of the TK Assembly Senad Alić (SDA) and the Minister of Tourism and Transport Mirsad Gluhić (SBB).

Sedinet Karić himself announced the opening ceremony of the luxurious restaurant on his Facebook profile.

Federal Television reminds that in June 2014, a year earlier, in an operation by the Prosecutor's Office of BiH codenamed "Master" at 17 locations in Tuzla Canton and Brčko District, eight people were arrested. Sedinet Karić, known as Sido, was at the head of the suspects for multi-million dollar tax evasion and fraud.

Karić was arrested during his leave from the prison in Tuzla, where he is serving a five-year sentence precisely for economic crime.

The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina accepted in July this year the plea agreement that Sedinet Karić concluded with the Prosecutor's Office of BiH and sentenced him to one year in prison for another case - Pandora.

CIN reported that Karić was convicted after admitting to giving money to the former director of the Indirect Taxation Authority of BiH, Kemal Čaušević, so that his companies would have a privileged position when importing textiles into BiH.

BIRN previously reported that Čaušević demanded that Sadiković and Karić give him 1,000 KM per imported truck, to which they agreed. Thus, from 2007 to February 2011, they gave him at least 1,722,000 KM for the import of 1,722 trucks of textiles, of which Karić gave 425,000 KM.
