Minister Mektić supported the organization of the European Society of Criminology Conference in BiH

The Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dragan Mektić, met today in Sarajevo with a delegation from the European Society of Criminology (ESC) and the Faculty of Criminal Justice, Criminology and Security Studies of the University of Sarajevo (FKKSS) with whom he discussed future cooperation and strengthening relations with the academic community.

The delegation included ESC President Gorazd Meško, Police Attaché of the Slovenian Embassy in BiH Janko Goršek, FKKSS Dean Nedžad Korajlić, and FKKSS Professor Almir Maljević.

The attendees informed Minister Mektić about the preparations for organizing the European Society of Criminology Conference next year in Sarajevo, which is expected to be attended by about 1,500 top experts from around the world.

Minister Mektić emphasized the importance of cooperation between the security sector and the academic community in a scientific approach to combating all forms of crime, and in this regard, supported FKKSS and ESC in organizing this significant event in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
