Minister Magoda and SFK 2000 Sarajevo: You are absolute champions and an inspiration to all future generations

(Patria) - SFK 2000 Sarajevo has once again written the history of Bosnian-Herzegovinian football, achieving a new record with 23 consecutive national championship titles, setting an unprecedented streak in the history of sports in our country.

This team, which has been a symbol of top dedication, work, and vision for over two decades, achieved a maximum performance this season in the Premier Women's League of BiH – 13 wins in 13 matches, which is proof of exceptional discipline and a quality system that does not depend on chance, but on strong values.

In addition, SFK 2000 Sarajevo has once again become the champion of the BiH Cup for the 2024/25 season, enriching its impressive collection with as many as 21 BiH Cup trophies won, confirming its status as the most decorated women's football club in the country.

This success is not only the result of the talent and effort of the athletes, but also of the vision that the club has built over all these years. The dedication of every individual in the club, from players to coaches, has contributed to creating a foundation that enables such exceptional results.

On the occasion of this success, the team had the honor of meeting with the Minister of Culture and Sports of Sarajevo Canton, Kenan Magoda, who congratulated the players and the professional staff on their achievements.

“I had the true honor of hosting the football players of SFK 2000 Sarajevo, champions, record holders, the pride of Sarajevo and the whole of Bosnia and Herzegovina. A club that has been on the throne for 23 consecutive years and whose trophy cabinets are filled with more trophies and medals than anyone else in the region. I am especially pleased that this story is not new. Even when I was heading the Tourist Board of Sarajevo Canton Visit Sarajevo, I had the opportunity to support these exceptional athletes, and upon taking over the Ministry, we doubled that support. The club can confirm this itself because when we talk about the true priorities of sports development in our canton, SFK 2000 is certainly among the first. And there is no doubt, the support this year will be at least equal to that of last year, perhaps even slightly greater. SFK 2000 Sarajevo will once again represent Bosnia and Herzegovina in the UEFA Women's Champions League, which is further proof of their recognition and competitiveness on the European stage.
