Minister Helez at the ceremony for the admission of candidates into military service: The Armed Forces of BiH received 349 soldiers, best cadet Amer Muflizović

(Patria) - Minister of Defence of Bosnia and Herzegovina Zukan Helez attended the ceremonial event marking the completion of training for candidates for admission into professional military service in the Armed Forces of BiH in the initial rank of soldier, held at the "Zaim Imamović" barracks in Pazarić, on Thursday, 5 September 2024.

This 31st class numbers 349 young soldiers, and among them are two scholarship recipients for the rank of non-commissioned officer who took the solemn oath.

Minister Helez addressed those present, stating that he is happy and proud that today a record number of young soldiers have entered the defence system of our country.

"I am proud of you because in these difficult times you have clearly and loudly said that you are here for our homeland, you are here to preserve peace, freedom and the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Whoever is ready to defend the independence of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the security and freedom of our fellow citizens, deserves special respect. Today, the Armed Forces of BiH are not only a guarantee of the security of citizens in our country, they are a symbol of strength and a support to citizens in moments when it is most difficult," said Helez.

The Minister of Defence of BiH emphasised that after the salary increase, the Armed Forces of BiH have become a desirable employer for young people, offering increasingly better conditions for work and advancement in service.

"I especially want to thank the parents of the candidates because you have raised your children and in a way guided them to dedicate their professional careers to the common good. Soldiers, first of all, I congratulate you on the completion of basic military training and the solemn oath you have taken, by which you have committed yourselves to loyalty to the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Today you become part of the Armed Forces of BiH, the institution that the citizens of our country trust the most," said Helez.

The recognition for the best candidate of the 31st class was awarded to Amer Muflizović.
