Minister Helez and FUCZ Director Brašnjić on Strengthening Cooperation in Protection and Rescue

(Patria) - Minister of Defence, Zukan Helez, held a meeting on August 13, 2025, with the Director
of the Federal Civil Protection Administration, Aldin Brašnjić.

During the meeting, issues of improving cooperation in the field of protection and rescue were discussed, with a special emphasis on the implementation of joint training and exercises, exchange of experiences, and strengthening capacities and readiness to act in case of natural and other disasters. The possibilities of modernizing equipment and improving the coordinated response system to crisis situations were also discussed, in order to increase the efficiency and speed of response in situations requiring immediate intervention.

Mutual satisfaction was expressed with the current level of cooperation and coordination of activities between the Ministry of Defence of BiH and the Federal Civil Protection Administration, and the commitment to continue developing this partnership was confirmed. It was agreed that joint work will be done on further improving inter-institutional cooperation, strengthening the capacities of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Federal Civil Protection Administration, and on raising the general readiness for the protection of citizens and their property.
