Minister Avdić and Rector Škrijelj Discussed the Development of the KS Culture Strategy

(Patria) - The Ministry of Culture and Sports of Sarajevo Canton, in cooperation with UNESCO in Bosnia and Herzegovina, is proceeding with the development of the Sarajevo Canton Culture Development Strategy 2021-2027. 

On this occasion, the Minister of Culture and Sports, Mr. Samir Avdić, accompanied by the Assistant Minister for Culture, Lejla Mujkić, visited the University of Sarajevo (UNSA) today, where he met with the Rector, Prof. Dr. Rifat Škrijelj, the Vice-Rector for Art, Culture and Sports, Prof. Dr. Tamara Karača-Beljak, and the Head of the Rector's Cabinet, Mr. Miroslav Živanović.

With the aim of developing a more comprehensive and higher-quality document, discussions were held on ways to involve the academic community of UNSA in this process. 

Minister Avdić emphasized that this development strategy should contribute to the growth and development of art and culture in Sarajevo Canton, and underlined the importance of involving UNSA representatives in the development of this document. 

He pointed out that UNSA has quality staff and educates young people who will create a better and higher-quality society.

Rector Škrijelj expressed his support for the development of the KS Culture Development Strategy, emphasizing that UNSA has a duty to contribute to strengthening the capacities of Sarajevo Canton.

Otherwise, the Sarajevo Canton Culture Development Strategy 2021-2027 is a strategic document that directs the development of culture and sets priorities for its development.
