MUNICH Komšić spoke with Peach about BiH

(Patria) - Chairman of the BiH Presidency Željko Komšić spoke on the sidelines of the
Munich Security Conference with the UK Prime Minister's Special Representative for the Western Balkans, Lord Stuart Peach.

The topic of the conversation primarily concerned the fulfillment of the remaining reforms necessary for opening BiH's EU membership negotiations, regional challenges, and preventing the negative influence of the Russian Federation on the stability and Euro-Atlantic integration of the region's countries.

In this context, the interlocutors agreed on the necessity of urgent energy diversification, i.e., reducing dependence on Russian gas by implementing the "South Interconnection" project.

Investment in BiH's security and defense structures was assessed as extremely important, and the significant contribution and continuous support of the United Kingdom to Bosnia and Herzegovina were confirmed.
