Mimo Šahinpašić successfully operated, received a new kidney

GRENOBLE, (Patria) - Journalist Mimo Šahinpašić was successfully operated on today at the clinical center in Grenoble, France.

Otvorena mreža announced that this was one of the complex and difficult surgeries, but fortunately everything went in the best order and Šahinpašić successfully received a new kidney.

- What we feared all along, due to the serious health condition of our colleague and journalist Mimo Šahinpašić, happened last night, when his health condition was extremely difficult and almost critical. Mimo spent and survived one of the hardest days of his life, and the transplant itself was seriously threatened.

The konzilijarni team of doctors at the French clinic in Grenoble, led by Prof. Dr. Lionel Rostang, decided to perform the transplant, and thus the re-transplant was performed today in the early morning hours. In contact with the president of Otvorena mreža, Dr. Almir Čehajić Batko, with the coordinator of Otvorena mreža, Irma Kolja, it was confirmed that Mimo has regained consciousness and that all health parameters are in the best order - states Otvorena mreža.

The kidney donor Nedžad Omerspahić is in good health and under the supervision of French doctors.
