Milorad Dodik calls citizens protesting high fuel prices hooligans

BANJA LUKA, (Patria) – The President of the BiH entity Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik called citizens protesting high fuel prices hooligans.

"We will not allow streets to be blocked and we will do everything we can, every kind of measure, and they should expect that starting today," Dodik told RTRS, reports the Patria agency.

"Whoever wants to protest must announce it, whoever does not comply must face sanctions, must be held accountable for hindering others in achieving their goals," said Dodik.

He pointed out that there are gas stations where citizens can protest high fuel prices. He added that most gas stations are private, some within Nestro Petrol, and that the 'state' does not influence oil prices.

„Our taxes are on average lower than anywhere in the region, and this allows the price of derivatives to be lower," said Dodik.
