Milo Đukanović: I will not visit Bosnia and Herzegovina, but I remain your great friend

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Montenegrin President Milo Đukanović will not visit Bosnia and Herzegovina on March 2 and 3, he confirmed on Centralni dnevnik with Senad Hadžifejzović.

Đukanović said that he remains a friend of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as does Montenegro itself, and that he will gladly visit when the situation permits. Regardless of the fact that the Chair of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina and members of the Presidency Željko Komšić and Šefik Džaferović agreed to his visit to BiH, Đukanović said he would miss this opportunity so as not to further complicate matters in BiH.

We recall, at the session of the Presidency of BiH held on Wednesday, Milorad Dodik voted against Đukanović's visit, announcing the invocation of vital entity interest.

Member of the Presidency of BiH Milorad Dodik today sent a request to the National Assembly of Republika Srpska for a special session to discuss two issues.

The first is the proposal of Security Minister Fahrudin Radončić regarding Frontex, and the second is the official arrival in Sarajevo of Montenegrin President Milo Đukanović.

"The Cabinet of the Speaker of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, Nedeljko Čubrilović, today received a request from member of the Presidency of BiH Milorad Dodik to convene a session of the National Assembly where MPs would declare on the Statement of the member of the Presidency of BiH on declaring the Decision on accepting the Status Agreement between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the European Union on activities carried out by the European Border and Coast Guard Agency on the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina, number 01-50-1-476-3/20, adopted without consensus at the 9th regular session of the Presidency of BiH, held on February 19, 2020, as very harmful to the vital interests of Republika Srpska," the statement from the NSRS says.

Furthermore, in the letter, Dodik requested that MPs at the session also declare on the Statement of the member of the Presidency of BiH on declaring the Conclusion on determining the official visit of Montenegrin President Milo Đukanović to Bosnia and Herzegovina, on March 2 and 3, 2020, adopted without consensus at the 9th regular session of the Presidency of BiH, held on February 19, 2020, as "very harmful to the vital interests of Republika Srpska."

Dodik called on MPs of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska to hold a session within 10 days and support these two statements with a two-thirds majority.

If within 10 days from the day the Statement is forwarded, the National Assembly of Republika Srpska confirms the Statement with a two-thirds majority, the contested Decision and Conclusion shall not enter into force.
