Milan Nišić from Bosanski Brod caught a catfish weighing 60 kg and about two meters long while fishing on the Sava River on Sunday, reports the Patria news agency.
Interestingly, just a few days earlier, fishermen about ten kilometers downstream, in the village of Klakar, caught a catfish weighing as much as 67 kilograms.
Fishermen say that the catfish caught by Nišić is quite large, but that there are even larger specimens in the Sava. Last year, a catfish weighing 80 kilograms was caught, but the fishermen returned it to the water.
