Zagreb Mayor Milan Bandić has at least two reasons to celebrate, his release from Remetinec prison and his 59th birthday, which he will celebrate today, Croatian media write, reports the Patria News Agency.
Around 7:30 AM, under the watchful eye of the media, he was at Zagreb's Dolac market doing birthday shopping, and to make sure he didn't forget anything, he neatly wrote down what he needed on a piece of paper. Mandarins, bananas, onions, lettuce...
He did not comment on the questions of journalists regarding the Agram case, and when asked if he plans to run in the elections, he said "Patient, saved", writes Dnevnik.hr.
He also said that he feels good in the role of a protocol mayor. For the time being, he is forbidden from performing that duty. However, judging by his activities and media attention, Milan Bandić will make excellent use of his absence from the workplace.
