Mijatović: Prevent division of the state, if necessary take citizens to the streets

(Patria) - The final act of the intention to divide our state into three parts is underway in Neum, says Vojin Mijatović, vice-president of the SDP.

"If this intention succeeds, there will no longer be a single chance for us to become a normal state like all European countries. If this happens, Bosnia and Herzegovina will never become an EU member and there will definitely be no more chance for a civic state that means equal rights for every person," Mijatović believes.

All of this represents the final showdown between ethnonationalism and liberal democracy.

"With rare exceptions, in Neum 80% of Bosnian politicians, blackmailed by decades of crime and corruption, are ready to allow the division of the state on anti-European values for the sake of their own survival or career advancement!

Without a doubt, anyone who accepts the division of Bosnia and Herzegovina on ethnic principles is a traitor. Anyone who accepts the division of Bosnia and Herzegovina on ethnic principles has sided with crime and the bourgeoisie and betrayed the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina!

The SDP of Bosnia and Herzegovina has said enough is enough more than ever in a statesmanlike manner, and our obligation is to continue lobbying worldwide against the division of the state, to prevent by all legitimate means any proposal that means the division of the state from reaching the Parliament," says Mijatović.

If all legitimate means are exhausted, the SDP of Bosnia and Herzegovina must take the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the streets and prevent the division of the state, Mijatović notes.

"Everything less than this is an empty story, meaningless political analyses and sick political ambitions we leave to those who cannot see the forest for the trees. This is the moment when everything is given for the state and its citizens; after this, there is no second chance," he added.
