Mijatović calls on Radojičić to withdraw lawsuits against organizers of 'Justice for David' rally

BANJA LUKA, (Patria) - I call on Igor Radojičić, the mayor of Banja Luka, to withdraw the lawsuit filed on behalf of the City against the organizers of the "Justice for David" rally held on 30.12.2018, claiming that due to the "failed" New Year's Eve celebration, the City was allegedly damaged in the amount of 178,445.00 KM, states the vice-president of SDP BiH, Vojin Mijatović.

"The lawsuit in question shows that Igor Radojičić's shameful behavior so far in the case of the murder of Banja Luka student David Dragičević is not a coincidence. By perfidiously caricaturing the motives and real reasons for his party positioning, and in order to retain his candidacy for the head of the City, Radojičić's goal is clear. It is unacceptable for naive Banja Luka youth to become collateral damage as currency for this party sycophancy and positioning.

Radojičić's lack of empathy and basic etiquette is his individual matter, but the City of Banja Luka must not serve Igor Radojičić's moral downfall, but exclusively the interests of the citizens of Banja Luka.

Even if the alleged damage occurred, that amount is not worth the destruction of the lives of three young people, children of Banja Luka. Among other things, that amount has been exceeded many times over just by the Helicopter Service for transporting singers to private and party events of the political option to which Radojičić belongs. The message of repression, not correction and tolerance of youthful freedom, cannot and must not be the reference of this City," Mijatović states.

He notes that "the only thing more socially tragic than Igor Radojičić's cynicism are the actions of the so-called opposition, which recruited barely adult youth and sacrificed their naivety for the personal gain of a narrow circle of party officials, specifically the 'elite' of the Party of Democratic Progress."

"The scenario has already been seen in the false oaths and obtaining mandates based on the tragedy of a family. Obviously, there is no reverence for the dead, nor for the living. And while Branislav Borenović, an eternal professional opposition member, jogs in Sarajevo parks, for salaries currently measured in hundreds of thousands of marks, these children of ours are condemned to total ruin before they have even begun to live.

Therefore, this conversion – money for the destruction of young lives – is inadmissible, and I will personally and in every other form do everything to neutralize the catastrophic consequences of various Radojičićs, Borenovićs, and the like, and their conversion of political careers at the expense of the citizens of Banja Luka. The fact that you call yourselves the government and the opposition does not give you the right to destroy the city of Banja Luka and the citizens of this city any further," he adds.
